Graduate Student Research Assistant

The
Building and Environmental Thermal Systems Research Group (BETSRG) announces two
immediate openings of research assistantship for outstanding Ph.D. students.
Areas of research include experimental heat transfer in microchannel heat
exchangers, heat pump systems analysis, and controls of psychrometric chambers
and HVAC laboratory simulators.
The graduate assistantship will consist as follows:

Student out-of-state
tuition will be waived.

At least 6
credits/hours of in-state tuition will be paid.

Stipend for a Ph.D.
degree in Mechanical Engineering will be provided.

Health insurance will
be also paid.
The
selection criteria are as follows:
-
Engineering
(MAE) at Oklahoma State University. Details for the admission criteria can

The candidate
must demonstrate excellent academic performance in undergraduate or MS
levels in his/her disciplines.

The candidates
must be available to begin the program no later than January 1, 2008.

Student must be
self motivated and enjoy working in a team environment; projects are often
in collaboration with local industry and each student will strive to take
the ownership of his/her assignment

Preference will
be given to students whose background is in the areas of thermodynamics,
heat transfer, multi-phase flow, or HVAC and refrigeration systems.
