1. Installation
Why does the installer keep asking me to update setup files and restart the computer?
This is an issue with some computers running Windows XP or Windows 2000. Either certain system files do not exist (or are out of date), or the installer is having problems writing temporary files. To correct this, download the replacement
setup.lst file for the installer. Use this file to replace the one from the installer, and run the installer again.
***At this time, there are some unresolved site issues that are preventing access to the setup.lst file. If you think you need this file, please email glhepro@okstate.edu to request the file.***
What should I do when the installer says that it can't update the file "(xxxx).dll"?
The installer really doesn't need to update these files, although it may think it does. You will see three options: Abort, Retry, and Ignore. Click Retry a couple of times, and if the error keeps repeating, click Ignore. GLHEPRO can be installed successfully without updating these files.
2. Bugs
Why do I get different results when sizing a hybrid system if I write the HVACSIM+ output file?
This is a known issue when sizing a hybrid system in English units. The outputs are converted into SI units to write the output file,
but are not properly converted back before displaying the results window. The results shown when the output file is not written are correct.
This will be fixed in the next GLHEPRO update.
It is worth noting, though, that the HVACSIM+ output file option exists mostly to expedite certain research efforts. Most users will never need this option.
